| I have recently started using a diffuser downstem for my G-on-G beaker shaped water pipe. The diffuser is one with several holes at the bottom of the downstem to make smaller bubbles and there by cool the smoke more efficiently. I believe however that for the beaker shaped water pipes that this approach is counter productive. It seems that you trade the amount of water you filter through for smaller bubble to be filtered. I believe that the standard straight tube that forces the smoke deeper into the bottom of the beaker will actually cool the smoke more. The only evidence I have of this is my own personal experience and trials. /rant off I guess I am just a little upset about paying $30 for this new "better" down stem that in my opinion is not even equivalent to the one I was trying to upgrade from. I would love to hear other peoples opinions on the diffuser downstems. I do not have a RooR diffuser and maybe that is where I went wrong. Thanks for the feed back in advance. |
