It was only $11.99 at this headshop and it hits surprisingly well for a cheapy piece. How long do these types usually last? And also, any cleaning and maintenance tips would be appreciated as well thanxz!

What you have is an acrylic piece. They are damn near indestructible. Well, I exaggerate obviously, but, they're not glass..so you can drop it and and not worry.

And yeah, it will hit pretty smooth. Anything water filtered hits decently smooth at least. I think a lot of people over play how inferior acrylic pieces are to glass. Though my first bong was an acrylic. So maybe I'm just partial to them.

And cleaning it. Well there are multiple options. That 420 cleaner works really well. Cleaned the crap out of a vortex and that thing gets filthy. Or rubbing alcohol and salt. A friend of mine, who I consider a professional pothead, cleans all his pieces that way. And it seems to work well.

It should last until you hit it with a hammer/try to break it on purpose For cleaning, table salt (3 tablespoons worth) and 99% Isopropanol inside + a bit of shaking works wonders (I just cleaned my bong out today, first time) and then rinse 10-15 times with hot water (i used cold since we were out of hot because my sister took a shower) and then let it dry (I put it upside down in a bucket covered by some stuff called repti-carpet since I have a lizard and it's sneaky that way

lol this is my first bubbler and when this guy called it plastic it made me wonder how the fuck does it last then when a lighter is on it... haha well, shit thanks for helping me out you guys!

Well I imagine the bowl is metal, right? I mean acrylic will still melt under flame. It is plastic still.

yeah the bowl is metal. how long can i use my piece before the melting process kicks in do you think? sorry about all these questions lol i do not even remember posting last night/this morning. twas very baked haha

if the bowl/slide is metal your actual tube should never melt. like that guy said they are very durable and should last you a number of years =]

The bowl and down stem will never melt. I was saying that the plastic the actual piece is made out of would melt under flame.

Just trust me, owning and using an acrylic piece is very easy. They are hard to fuck up.

I've always wondered, how the hell do you light the weed that is in the bowl? You'd have to hold the lighter up funny and it'd end up with the flames licking your thumb and you getting burnt...Someone tell me xD

As for the bubbler, my mate got one exactly the same. It works wonders. Just take it easy, you don't realise quite how strong bongs are till you actually take a hit or two
