me and a friend got into an argument over perculators. is it possible to buy a bong then add a perculator to it later? like can u just slide em in or attach them in a way to some bongs?

I'm pretty sure you can't add them to the main chamber but I can't say for certain for every bong out there.
You can probably get a bubbler-stem with a percolator.

Yes, technically you can, though it would be a stem attachment. Inline percs/diffusers look amazing and add a whole other level to the hit.

Now Illadelph bongs have those detachable coils in their bongs, I don't see why they couldn't make it with a perc.

Yea, you can add pre-percolators and such. You usually can't add post-percolators.

(IE: Before the stem joint vs after the main water resevior)

percs, for the most part, are somewhat overrated. Yes, they are nice, and yes, I do own a post-perc bong, but it isn't something I value very high. If you want to get a nice perc, add one on later onto your downstem.

Try getting a good perc bong like a Sovereignty Glass or Toro and then try saying they're over rated lol.
Yes you can add a percolated ashcatcher/precooler like one of these showerheads but not to the main chamber inside the bong;

or inlines;

or tree percs;

or even your old fashion diffused pillbottle;

Yes you can in every way possible. You can buy a percolated downstem or a percolated ash catcher or both. You can buy the ash catcher for any bong, and the downstems for bongs with removable downstems (normally glass on glass are like this). There are also "middle pieces" on bongs that go inbetween the ashcatcher and downstem that are water filtered and you can buy those percolated.


As for actual percs inside the bong, its not possible unless there is some crazy invention out there that i am not aware of.

No such thing as a percolated downstem, I think you mean a diffuser (a perc is a seperate filtration chamber).

Yeah you are right, i always get the 2 interchanged all the time. A diffused downstem is always a great addition to a bong though. Can never go wrong with them.
