New diffuser is too long!

i broke my diffuser the other day and i bought a new one yesterday. As i put it in, i realized its about a cm to long and it wont sit right in the joint of the bong. what should i do to cut it? is there anything else i can do? its a 14mm if that helps..

If at all possible Id reccomend returning and getting the correct size.

If there is any way you can get it to sit just at the corner of the bottem of your peice, That is good (And is where glass blowers aim to get their downstems)

I have no idea if you can bolster the joint with something to boost up the diffuser, but if not I would return it.

I recommend going back and seeing if they'll let you exchange it. They should do it free, but they might not if you have already tried using it. This same thing happened to me and the place was happy to exchange it.
