has anyone ever tried hot water?

They said bongs would change the world in the seventies, they would replace beer at bars, people would walk in and take a bong rip. Never happened

I've put mint leaves in a bong with some rather hot water in a pyrex bong...

didn't get any higher, but it tasted good.

The temp. at 4C shouldn't make a different because the change is density in water is so minute that you're probably better just smokin' more efficiently(like, breathing in the smoke that escapes from your bowl or somthin')

Personaly, I just love it with cool water, and some nice cushions to sit on, with drink and nice music.... thats all thats needed.

I've smoked bongs with hot water from the tap, and it makes the smoke feel really moist and fluffy in your lungs, not extra hot. It's definitely a nice hit, but I don't think it got me any more/less blazed than normal water.

i'm not saying it makes gets you any higher with hot/cold, i'm just wondering which can give bigger rips???

I would say that the hot water overall did give bigger hits, and it felt better, so if that's what you're asking, yes I think hot water hits better over regular water, but I'm not sure about cold...

yeah, so i was reading the posts and i think i'll add my 2 cents. maybe 3. anyway, water is MOST dense at around 38 or 39 fahrenheit. thats why the water at the bottom of the ocean is almost exactly 39 degrees, because it is the most dense water in the ocean, so it sinks to the bottom of the ocean. anyway, you would want bong water to be less dense to absorb more materials, becasue there would be more room in between the individual water molecules, so more smoke particles can absorb into the water. but, i think that overall what makes a bong work in filtering out the smoke particles is not that the water absorbs the chemicals in the smoke, but that it cools the smoke enough so that chemicals drop out of the smoke, turning from the gaseos state in the smoke to a solid or liquid state in the water. therefore you inhale only some of the smoke particles, while the less are left in the water. thinking along these lines, it might seem that hotter water would get you higher since less THC would fall out of the smoke, but, if you consider the temperature of the smoke it makes sense that both cold and hot woudl get you baked about the same amount. i am not sure what temperature doobie smoke is, but it is probably around 1,000 degrees or less. therefore, a difference between 30 degree and 90 degree water in the bong wouldn't make a whole lot more of the chemicals drop out, and neither temperature would make that smoke cool much more, so thats why neither gets you higher. the fact that some cough more or less on hotter and colder water is probably just because some people have a harder time adjusting to the temperature of what they are inhaling. (keep in mind that the smoke is probably the same temperature in both, but you inhale some water particles no matter what, which woudl make the smoke seem hotter or colder depending on the water temp.) alright, so admit this is going out out on a limb, but whatever. i just hope the tree doesn't have too much rot in it.

Hot and cold water is good. You'll prob. laugh but during the winter I take hot water hit's and go outside, and in the summer cold one's as a refreshment. Water will filter out many caricogens that weed has and the cold water will make you take a nice refreshing cold hit.

There are double chamber bongs that can be used, where the smoke goes from hot to cold water. It is SAID that hot water filters better and then smoke carrying on to the cold water in return cools the smoke down, thus allowing you to take a nice longer hit, that about as refreshing as a damn mento's.

Bongs were made to be used in cold water, allowing you to take longer hits, only until recently has it been advocated and found out that H2() will take out many nasty caricogens and give you more purified smoke containing more of the almighty THC, we allo love.

I just smoked up with couple friends last night and we used a new technique to me called "poppers" dunno if anyone else has tried it but you only need a pinch of weed and then you take it all in on one hit.. it was pretty sweet.. I got stoned after 3 hits. We used warm water.. hotter than room temperature anyways..

I'm wondering too .. does hot or cold water give you bigger hits?
