Well, the other night my roommate and a friend of his got the brilliant idea to put Bacardi in the bubbler. I checked out what people were sayin on the boards about it and I thought they were going to blow themselves up or something. It actually turned out to work pretty well.

Now, I need to define "pretty well". It didn't blow up and we got to smoke weed. So, technically it worked. But it tasted like alcohol. None of us got sick off of it, but we all pretty much agreed that it tasted like ****. Unless you are a lush or just love the taste of alcohol, don't try this. So, in summary, I wouldn't recommend it.

On a recent roadtrip, my friends used carbonated water in the bong since that's all that they had on hand.

It was flavored (lime and berry), and ended up being rather... ahh... interesting to hit. The first hit you took after the chamber was filled was pretty gross -- made you burp, too.

Afterwards, though... it was just sort of different in a way I couldn't really put my finger on.

It's been my experience that using anything other than water isn't worth the trouble/expense. I haven't tried milk though, so the jury's still out on that...

Though, I've heard of people putting a couple drops of mint extract into their bongwater and getting pleasant results.

I used chocolate milk once. Remember what happens when you put a straw in milk and blow? Yes, bubbles. Everywhere. It made the bong useless cause it was filled with brown bubbles. That hit tasted good, though.

yes, vaya, I often put just ice cubes in my bong when I don't want to make a lot of noise. my bong is particularly well suited to ice cubes, though: it's got a spherical bulge around the base so I can fit quite a few ice cubes in there. as long as you fill the shaft of the bong with a lot of ice I can't see how it wouldn't work. Of course, more smaller ice cubes means more surface area than fewer larger ice cubes which means colder hits.

I bought a sno-cone maker at Albertson's... I like crushing up about 8 cubes and putting the sno in my 1 footer... mad smooth hits!

I've yet to even try ice in a bong yet coz I gotta do all smoking behind my parents' back! I'll try and arrange it tonight though, coz I love smooth hits! An additional note, while majorly irrelavant, if you empty a two litre bottle of a fizzy drink, then with the empty bottle just inhale the air inside, you get a bit of a reaction! Heh heh, it's safe enough I assume, try it!

Ive thrown a pot on the stove for a awhile and thrown that **** in the bong, hot awter is the shiznittleshnipsnap! It makes the hits like moist and pleasant, not harsh at all, not hot in your lungs. Nobody wants to try this **** but take the advice of an anonymous stranger, its real real nice.

hmm, I used the juice from a tin of fruit salad once... that was actually quite nice. Once I was just a bit stoned and I put beer in a bong because it's the only liquid we had. That wasn't a good move at all.

But these days we stick with just plain old water, or ice water and crushed ice cubes.

I thought the actual psycho-active THC wasn't water-soluble at all anyway?
