Ya, seems kinda odd using a bong without water, since the reason for using a bong is for using with water, defeats the purpose!! And why not put water in it and save your lungs?

Steamrollers will get you ****ed up... bigger chamber than a pipe plus the shotgun effect! a steamroller is like a bong chamber with out the bottom.

heh i was beggining to think i was the only one who called em steamrollers, even though they are a little diffrent from a bong, you gotta cover the borrom with your hand, but yeah u get monster hits.

I've used dry bongs a few times. At the start of the school year, we smoked from a bong but everyone kept forgetting to bring some water in a bottle to school to use in the bong. There were some days where someone would remember and it was a real treat but we all became used to smoking it dry. It got us all really ripped but we all coughed our lungs out. Even the most vetran smoker would have choked smoking out of that.

I've hit a bubbler without water because we were so high we forgot to put water in it! I didn't even notice that the smoke was extremely harsh and there was no bubbling sound, my friend pointed it out. We were all cracking up, and my friends who weren't high thought we were idiots.

Whats so bad about using a bong without water? I do it all the time. Its pretty much just a huge pipe that gives awesome hits and gets me stoned with less bud. I smoke cigarettes too so the smoke doesnt really bother me

Most people on here don't smoke cigs so for most people here dry bong hits extremely harsh.

some 0f my friends never put water in their bong unless you ask them. They only smoke lowgrade and never get kind bud. I think thayt wouldmake me want to put water and ice in it. guess not...

If your pipe has water in it, it is a water pipe.

If your water pipe is larger than a bubbler, it is now a BONG

If your bong dosen't have water, it isn't really a bong--it's a steamroller or large pipe.

Hows that for simplicity?

Dont get it twisted a steamroller is not a Bong! Its like a bong but w/o 2 open ends and you smoke it horizontally instead of veritcally.

that was referring to Donata's post, but yes, I also agree with CaliChronic. I haven't smoked out of many steamrollers, but i remember one a friend had. I was supposedly the only person to ever clear it, the first time, without CRYING.....i thought this was just some ego boosting comment from my female friend, but NO....a lil bit later another one of her friends tried smoking from it for the first time, and sure enough, she was coughing and her eyes were watering so badly she appeared to be crying!! This thing was huge! Homemade, but made from some sort of HEAVY duty packing tube. My guess(its been several years) was about 2 ft long, 4-5 in diameter. of course, I may be wrong!
