Today I was playing a computer game called Counter-Strike, and these two guys were talking about chilling later and smoking some bud. But, they had a limited supply so I was like, when I'm low on weed, I take a few bong rips and get baked as hell. Bongs are definatly the way to go.

So then this other guy was like, No way, WATER BONGS are the way to go! I was like WTF a bong implies water...whats the point of a bong without water??? Then he goes on to tell me that he has heard of it before and so had his friend.

So I of course ask where he and his friend are from and he tells me Kentucky. So I poke fun about backwater southern country bumpkins, etc and they get all pissed off at me or whatever and leave.

So, my question to all of you is, have you ever heard of smoking a bong without water (I mean, if there is no water and it is all you have then yeah but I mean as a normal case to just smoke a bong without water)?

Also, if you do smoke a bong without water, please tell me what the point is. Why not just use a pipe or whatever.

P.S. No offense to any Kentuckyians, I was just joking at them.
