I don't even have the cash atm but I friend said he'd probably loan it to me.

There is a HUGE 4/20 sale at a headshop I know of.

It is 50% off items $500 dollars or over. Well I've been planning to get a nice bong (don't think it would have been $250 nice) for a long time. I had originally planned to wait till finals week was over and I was back home from college and working at a job I need to get.

But is this too good of a deal to pass up? It might take me a couple of months to pay my friend back but if he's willing, should I?

Lemme just say that this is a lot of money to me. I was only gonna spend like $100-$150 when I earned some money this summer.

What do you all think? Buy the $500 bong for $250 and get a free pouch?

Personally, no I wouldn't. You do what makes you happy though.

That's more than what I spent to start my first grow...I might not have a 500 dollar bong, but I have a bong and 2 pipes and an (almost) never ending stash (damn me for tearing the grow down last december. Start up is a slow *****.)

I am a cheap S.O.B. though. For $250 it better get me high just looking at it.

Thank you plains for your response. Yes $250 is a LOT of money and that's why I can't make up my mind about it.

I do know that whatever bong I get this summer..I want it to be at least 2 feet tall and glass. I believe no matter what I'll be spending a min of ~$150 for a bong that I like.

The only difference is today I'm contemplating borrowing from a friend cause i don't have the money yet AND spend an extra $100 than I planned for a bong that would be twice as good.

Wish I could decide!


Wha do ya think people? Is spending $250 on a bong OUTRAGEOUS? I'm not a guy with much money but I would use it everyday. Should I get a cheaper one or what

How much do those like.. almost white roor bongs cost, or the bong thumper was using in the butterfly effect?(awsome guy)

i would say not to do it, simply because it's not good for friends to borrow/loan money. you can think it will turn out fine, but i wouldn't risk that between friends. there's a reason that it's a social rule.

Ok, these replies made my decision. $250 is too much for me to spend on a bong.


Next question is: The kid who would have loaned me the money is getting an appartment with me in August. Would going halves on a bong be a bad idea?

He still lives with his parents so I'd hang onto it till August and then we'd both be using it. The problem arises when we no longer live together. I figure one or the other could throw some money or a trade the other person's way and make em happy.

But what are your opinions? This a bad idea as well?

Why not stash up on weed with that 250 you'd be spending on a bong? As long as you've got something to smoke out of your gonna get high no matter what, if I were you, i'd buy a huge stash.

Well I don't have $250. I was gonna get it. As to why I want a bong? Because I don't have one and they get you more high than pipes do. After smoking from my roommates $250 bong this whole semester I have grown to love bongs.

1 huge bong rip can get me higher than 2 bowls in a pipe.

It's more efficient for me and will save money in the long run.


Not to mention.. weed gets consumed and a bong doesn't.

i'd say going halves on a bong with someone you'll live with for a while isn't a bad idea.

I wouldn't spend $250 on a bong but I would go in for half if I was going to be splitting it with somebody I'd live with.

That way you can use it any time you want and you pay half... especially if you're getting the rights to use a $500 bong for like $125.
