Homemade Bongs

I have been smoking out of homemade bongs seinse i started smoking (about a month ago). I have been using a 20 oz pop bottle with a hollow pen as the downtube, and a bowl made out of aluminum foil. As I was replacing the bowl I noticed the pen was all melted and warped. I dont want to be inhaling those fumes, and I hear aluminum foil isn't good to smoke out of either. Any suggestions on what I can make the downtube and the bowl out of?

i used an old metal pipe for a hamemade before i got my glass bong. it would be hard to find one as well suited for this as mine though, because it had a bowl that could swivel, so i could put the mouthpiece downward into the chamber and then have the bowl perpendicular to the ground
