I'm going to a party this friday and I just got a sweet glass bong, It's a small one only 8 inches tall but I love it. I was just wondering if all of you wonderful folks would have any recomendations for how to take it to the party. I'm not concerned about concealment, more so about proection from impacts etc. in my back pack.
I have a pretty secure system set up but if anyone has any other idea's please share them.
This is definatly a McGuiver job.
So I took and made a carboard tube slightly larger than the base of my bong. I put a layer of those polystyrene packing peanuts on the bottom. I have some small bubble wrap that I wrap around my and secure to my bong (elastic bands) I then slide it into the tube (one end is permanently closed)I wrap the bowl up in more bubble wrap and put it in the box beside the bong. I then fill the rest of the space with more peanuts packing them in with my fingers.
I'm eventualy going to get a pelican case for those of you how are interested I will get the 1200 one as it just fits my bong with some extra room for the bowl/stem and other radom smoking accessories.

that sounds fine to me, heh, shouldnt break

when i travel with my bong i always:

1. Clean it out with formula 420 at least once, so if i do get stopped it wont have resin in it

2. Wrap it in bubble wrap and then wrap a scarf around it, heh

3. throw it in backpack and go

i didnt wrap mine in bubble wrap and it broke when it fell out of my truck :[

sounds like youve got a good plan there, and you know it's always better safe than sorry, especially if it's a bong. btw, awesome avatar there cyryllis, and good idea on the cleaning before taking it out, definitely the smartest idea... I should probably do that too, but I'm one of those people who do things now, and worry about them later, whats the name for them.. oh yeah, irresponsible stoner =P. laaater

You got a good plan man. My friend does the same thing pretty much when he brings his bong out. Just keep an eye on it all night, but im sure you already knew that.
