so has ne one ever thought of how stupid the gov't is? just think about this for a tic. im wondering would you ever ever ever smoke tobacco out of a double perk bong or sweet glass steamroller etc? ill answer it for you, NO. so isnt it just the stupidest thing for the gov't to allow head shops and truly think people buy the merchandise for smoking tobacco? i mean who would smoke tobacco out of a bong? i bet that there hasnt been a single cop[ thats found someoone with a bong that smokes tobacco out of it. its like how can they make weed illegal but make shops with such smoking devices? its absurd, check it, so i guess your allowed to buy bong pipes etc from a head shop but if thre police catch you with it then you get arrested. its like WTF are you guys doing? how can you sell stuff to us that could get us arrested if a cop catches us? like, do they realy think that we smoke tobacco out of those things? so i'm thinking that its like a trap, idk im just realluy annoyed at the fact that we can buy a bong easily but if a cop catches us with it we get charged for it? its just the most absurd thing! what do u guys think/feel?

Well if a police officer catches you with a bong,pipe or whatever you decided to purchase at your local head shop that day....the only way they can arrest/fine you is if there is resin in the bong,pipe etc. If Im wrong someone please correct me

I've smoked tobacco from my pipe before, but I really don't like doing that because it takes away the marijuana taste.

Yeah, I usually find it humorous when I see "FOR TOBACCO USE ONLY" on the labels to some of the bowls and bongs.

I'm pretty sure there has to be resin in it for you to get into any sort of trouble for having it. Meaning, you couldn't purchase a bong, walk out of the store, and be instantly surrounded by cops and arrested for paraphernaila possession.

That being said, I always make it a point to pay for anything I buy in head shops with CASH. If you pay with a check or credit/debit card, they're going to have your address - and I'd rather not be linked to any of those places, just for the sake of being extra-cautious.

But, yes, some people do smoke tobacco out of them. I don't know why they would, but, to each his own, I guess.

Well i dont know if this is off topic or anything, but in germany, my exchange student and her friends would go home after school, pull out the 4 person hookah, and smoke some flavored tobbacco...its jsut relaxing....

it works the same way with us in america, if i wanted to get a nice smoke, id use tobbacco and a bong/pipe/bubbler/hookah...same ones i can use for pot too

Actually I have some neighbors from the middle east and they were sitting in their garage one day with the door open smoking out of a nice ass houkah. I walked by and the smell was definately tobacco not herb.

Just to clarify if your under 18 and caught with a bowl or any paraparnial(I was trying to avoid using that word adn you kno why now lol) you automatically get charged wit having it because your under 18 but over 18 and no res no problem.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but not everyone in government is stupid. The point is not that they actually believe that you smoke tobacco out of bongs, but that they can't prove that you smoke something illegal with them. The second marijuana or its biproducts touches that piece, it's paraphernalia.

It is kind of silly, but that's just the way it is. They don't completely "turn the other way" on the issue, though. A year or two ago, they had "Operation Pipe Dream" and busted a lot of head shops; and I believe that chong got busted from that operation, for his chongs bongs website. I might be wrong though, but they did bust a lot of head shops.

And it is pretty rare to smoke tobacco from a bong, but some do. I say just be happy that the loop-hole exists.
