I have a small glass bubbler i bought for about $40, i love it, it's really nice, gets me blasted pretty fast. Oh yea did anyone else notice this threads been open for 3 years now? haha

I have to say that I love bongs.



I love trying all sorts of ways to smoke marijuana. Although I haven't tried vaporizers yet, strangely. Unfortunate they haven't gotten really popular yet. It couldn't be the price, some pay quite the amounts for bongs.

But I guess what I like about bongs is the ability to get really high fast. I don't like to every time I smoke, the majority of my sessions are nicely rolled fatties. But bongs are always a welcome option!

i made my own mini water bong out of a pill bottle and a bic pen
and it works really well but ive never smoked out of a 'big' bong and i was wondering
if the size of the bong made any difference in getting ripped?

Reviewing the diagram of the bong that you supposedly built, it's easy to see what the problem is. You have the inhalation tube underwater and the marijuana inlet above water. An error of cosmic proportions. You need the marijuana inlet to be below water, so either make it longer or raise the water level. And why you even need an inhalation tube I don't know. It looks like this bong is from a soda bottle. Just place your mouth over the opening at the top as you're lighting the weed and inhaling. I do agree that you also need to cut a carb into the side of the bottle (up above the water level) so that you can keep a finger over it while you're initially inhaling and filling the bong with smoke, but then you take your finger off it to easily inhale the smoke that's accumulated. Minus the carb, this is a schematic of what you should be going for...note how it critically differs from the diagram you showed to us. Good luck.

Um.... Well, first off, you made it backwards from how I think normally one would do it. They would attatch a bowl to a stem with electric tape (It doesn't burn when quite hot) and then suck from the bottle opening. Also, it is easier to clear a chamber if you have a choke.

Make sure it is airtight. Hold your thumb over the bowl and suck in. If air gets through, then it isn't airtight.

shotty homemade bongs, though easy to fabricate in a pinch do not show how a good bong works. before you decide that bongs suck, try a bong that works.
