i just thought about this because of the chlorine in the pool water would that get rid of all the bad stuff or would it be bad because of the chlorine. i dont think it would because chlorine is only toxic in its gaseous form but im not exactly sure.

Chlorine is a deadly gas. It becomes gaseous with the application of heat, a lot of heat, but even the pool tablets put off a small amount at room temp. It is also a soft tissue/mucus membrane irritant, that is why it makes your eyes red when you swim in chlorinated water. People use it in pools, but in tiny amounts when you concider a pool contains thousands of gallons of water. It might not make you sick doing it once, but I think this is a BAD idea.

The smoke only passes through the water for like .00001 second. I dont see how it could taint the smoke with such little contact. I used to do my gravity bong hits out of the pool all the time. So I dont see any harm in it, although I dont know why youd do it in the first place.

WTF? First, taking a hit takes more than the amount of time you suggested.

Hitting a bong you pull in smoke for about... 4-5 seconds. Then, you probably take between 4 and 10 hits, so an average of 30 seconds inhaling chlorine right out of the water.

Next time you are by a pool, lean over and smell the chlorine coming off of it. Or better yet, take a hit off a bong without packing it, only inhaling chlorine. You will soon see how packed full of harsh chemicals it is. Finally search any book or Internet site for the harmful effects chlorine has on the body, including irritating the respiratory system, scarring tissue and blood vessels, and being used as the first biochemical gas in World War 1.
