Actually, you could just wrap a fluffy blanket around the water chamber to insulate it...it would probably work just as good/better than a thermos..

You could get one of those adhesive electric heated mats used for reptiles and shit. They come in various sizes and would stick right to the bottom. I think some are even adjustable. But then you would no longer have a cordless bong.

How about putting a bunch of pennies on the stove coil and just throwing those in there.

I don't think that would logically work but I'm just trying to think of something easier than building an electrical heating unit

Well,, I tried it using my bubbler, and I have to say it does make it go down nice and smooth.

Cool. Yeah, when I first saw somebody do it, I was like, "Nasty!" But it turns out steamy water can make a big fat hit go down smooth as silk. Of course, it's probably terrible for our lungs. I know when I get humidifiers for my kids, I always get the "cool mist" ones, because somebody told be the "warm mist" ones encourage germs or something. I forget what the issue is exactly. But then I don't sleep with a bong strapped to my face either, so....
