Quick Question about Ice.

Hey, just a quick question. If you have a regular bong, thats not necissarily (sp) meant for ice, can you stil put ice in it? Like, not a pyrex bong with ice catchers, but just a regular glass bong. Will putting ice in it break it or something, or is it fine.

I've done it a number of times.
Nothing wrong with it at all.

I do suggest removing the slide first and being cautious when filling it with ice so you don't break anything.

It's fine. The chamber isn't subjected to enough heat to cause stress fractures from the temperature extremes you're worrying about.

Instead of ice though, I recommend filling it with piping hot water. A steamy bong hit is smooth as silk.

i put ice in my bong all the time...extra cold water equalls extra cold smooth hits...it seems like the cooler the hit the more i can take in.

Ever tried steamy water? See, weed smoke dilates your air sacs (makes em bigger). Cold air causes them to constrict. Conflict. On the other hand, warm moist air soothes your pipes and doesn't cause your lungs to fight. I recommend everyone try it at least once.

i use steamy hot water from time to time usually when im hotboxing a room with my friends. but if were just chillin outside or sumthin theres nothin like cold water and lots of ice.

thanks guys/girls (dont know if any females replied) Ill try hot water when i get some more weed. although i dont know if a plastic gatorade bottle bong can withstand the hot water. Would the hot water from a hot water tap be too hot. or is just hot tap water hot enough. (like dishwashing water.)

It only has to be warm to produce water vapors. But I like it best as hot as I can stand it. Especially because it cools off fairly quickly.
