| Erm... not quite sure what ou mean by "pull out" but I've always understood the bowl to be the piece you put the weed in, and then light it up in. If you have a home made or something like that, then I've heard of some people using the bowl "hole" like a carb. But other then that, no, you shouldn't be dismantling a bong in any way while smoking. |

| You never have to, but it's best to do so... But with the plastic bongs, with the metal bowls you usually can't pull those out. So don't worry about that. |

| You don't have to, but if you don't, there is no way to clear all of the excess smoke unless you take down the entire bowl in one hit, which is called snapping. Some bongs have the bowl piece built-in, and there is a carb hole instead.

| Yes it is usually required to clear the chamber as many said. As Jake mentioned taking bong snaps might not require it, but in order to get a fast and efficient hit you should pull it out. Some bongs even have old school carbs (holes), make sure yours doesnt have one of those your neglecting. |
