if one was to use the same bong water for alot of uses, or smoking half oz through the same water, and get it nice and nasty smelling, looking, could one dry it out and smoke that? The carcinogens bongs filter out, carry thc to the lungs, tar gets thc stuck to its molecules and carrys it to your lungs. So, these filtered into the water, and then you dry the water out, and have the resin, the same stuff you have clogging your bowl right now. WOuld this work?

THC isn't water soluble so I don't think it would be like pipe resin, but there are other chemicals in that may or may not get you some sort of high and maybe a little bit of THC. Probably would do more harm then good though.

In theory you should be able to boil the water down and get some THC however THC
is only slightly soluble in water so it shouldn't be that much and also it should in
theory contain potentially harmful impurities that bongs theoretically remove.

Ok the gods of my outdated merck cd don't have it listed so I'm not sure
what it is but it's real low, something along the lines of a couple milligrams
per 200-500ml if memory serves.

Not only would it take forever for the water to dry out, the resin you would be left with would be so weak and so little that it would not even be worth it. Actually, I think that what you would be left with would even be worse than the resin left in your pipe. Noeone is right, water is only very slightly soluble in water. You would be left with all the impurities you don't want to smoke, most likely not getting you high, hurting your throat and leaving you with even more unhealthy lungs, for absolutely nothing.

BUT, you would be left with something if you did let it dry out. After all, the water doesn't change yellow for nothing, something is being left behind, it's just nothing you would want to smoke.

Truth! Trying to get a buzz of bongwater its like sucking on a used ciggarette filter for your nicotene cravings, its just not worth it for the little(if any) THC you'd get. And as far as the residue goes: DON"T DO IT! Seriously it is so nasty. I had a friend who was new to smoking and cleaned his bowls and collected the resin...he did the same with his bong and loaded it into a bowl and handed it to me saying it was resin. It was so incredibly disgusting was rinsing with mouthwash for a while.

...PLENTY of emergency highs by recycling the contents of my bong!

There is always a bit of unburned weed that slips through with each hit.

Whatcha need to do is take a coffee filter and position it on top of a large glass...or something that will easily hold the contents of your bong. You might wanna wrap a rubber band around the rim so it doesn't fall into the glass.

Slowly pour the contents into the filter, swishing the water in the bong around to catch everything as you get down to the bottom.

Let the water drain into the container until you're left with a messy glob of

Now, take the rubber band off and carefully lift the filter off the container. Then, grab another coffee filter (I use 2 for this part so it doesn't rip) and set it under the existing one. Grab the bottom of the filter and fold the edges up so you can twist it from top-to-bottom. Gently squeeze the filter until most of the water has been extracted.

Take what's in the filter and put on a plate or something it can dry on. You can nuke it using short bursts, or just let it dry naturally.

Once dry, you can usually see what's good and what's just ash...and separate the 2.

It's not much in the taste department...but I guarantee it works!

Remember, you're not smoking resin...just weed that didn't get burned the first time around! And since weed isn't water soluble, not much has broken down.

You can also shell out some cash and get a desiccator and a desiccant like silica gel.
Should speed up the process. They are also good for drying edible mushrooms.

Ahhh well there's one way, but really you're just smoking wet weed...not bongwater or anything extracted from it. And its weed that has been soaking in bongwater and ashes.

But still it would work...I've always used a screen in my bongs so I don't know...but I guess if you're fiending for a buzz then it would work.

After you dry the "rebong" (as my old hippie uncle called it) it's better to use it as an extender for your fresh herb ... use about 1 part rebong to 2 parts fresh smoke, covers the taste and actually the viable rebong material has a slightly elevated THC activation from being preheated, but not burned.

Comes in handy when cash and / or stash is running low!

First time posting after many years! Just tried this after having no weed, was rinsing out bong had all the weed in the coffee filter and then I made the dumb mistake of trying to speed things up by lifting the coffee filter up...and spilled the weed alll inside the sink.

So much for that ;(
