I just picked up a new glass bubbler and a plastic bong from berk. I was wondering why everyone sais plastic bongs are so bad and glass hits so much better. Whats the difference. I would definatly rather have a glass bong but i still live with my parents and need something that i can transport and hide easy without having to worry about it breaking

Glass doesn't have an aftertaste and doesn't melt or give off fumes at the
temperature lighters burn. Plastic does.

Is the actual part where the weed goes and you light it plastic? If so that is horrible for your health. I used to have a plastic bong that i bought at the store that the bowl part was metal. It was a good bong while it lasted, but broke after about 3-4 months.

A glass piece feels substantial when you hold it. There is a heft to a glass piece that simply isn't there in a comparable plastic one.

No It has a metal downtube and bowl. I would never smoke out of a plastic bowl. soooo dumb.

Yes. Glass all the way, there is no question.

However, there is nothing really wrong with a plastic bong. Think of glass bongs like driving a Cadillac as appose to a plastic bong, a Honda Civic.

well theres the after taste when you first get it, most come with a metal bowl wich increases your chances of some pyscoligical issues, and glass just makes you feel better about your bong

Umm.... sorry for my ignorance but dont all "bowls" or "cone pieces" come in metal? I brought a glass bong with a metal cone piece. How does this increase your chances of psychological issues?

The only part on a bong trhat really makes any difference is the slide/bowl. I have a plastic bong with a 35$ glass slide and it tastes just as good as my old all glass bong.

Not all of them, the nice ones come with glass slides, those generally are the smoothest.

I too would also know how a metal bowl can "cause psychological issues." Doesnt make much sense to me
