So my bong that has 14.4 glass on glass connections, chamber to diffuser to ashcatcher. Last night, i went to get my bong, dropped my bud, and as i stood back up from bending over, tapped my bowl against the edge of my desk and snapped it off a little more than a half inch from the top of the diffuser. Now the diffuser is stuck in the bong and the little bit of glass left in the end of the diffuser i cant pull out either. Anyone know how to get my diffuser out without just breaking it?

Try and get something like a metal rod with a hooked end, something similar to metal that won't bend may work just as well. If you have a good pair of pliers and a spare wire hanger you can hook one end of it, slide it down the inner tube, put the hooked end underneath the base of the bowl's stem and pull it out. If the hanger is two wide once it's been folded over you could try flattening it out with a hammer and trimming it with wire clippers before folding the end. You may be able to easily twist out the bowl stem by gently grabbing the half inch that is sticking out with needlenose pliers as well. If I read your post wrong and this doesn't make any sense at all, my bad. ![]()

I fixed the problem after bending my mind for 5 hours. Due to the way i hit the bowl, the pieces were jammed together really tight, and after messing around trying to pulling it out with a hook, push it out from the other side, heat the outside and cool the inside, lube it up, fuck it, nothing worked. I was going to get it out or break it trying so i got a pair of needlenose pliers and tried to pull the bowl stem out but it would come out so i tried to break it and it just snapped off inside the diffuser. So i eventually used a screwdriver to break the little less than an inch of bowl left in the diffuser and pop it out at the cost of two chips to the rim and a tiny crack in one chip. Good enough for now, easy to replace later. ty for trying to help.

had a similar breakage problem on my first bong, *though its fully broken now* i ended up cleaning it out and brought it to a head shop and you know what they did? the very same thing you did, Mooner. Screwed with it, gave up, started chipping it away until it broke off, and even discounted the new stems. cheers to your ingenuity -eSteve
