| I haven't been around here in a while so hey everyone...sorry, life took over for a while, sucks . Anyway, I got my first glass piece the other day!!!!I drove about 1/2 hour to a smoke shop called Village Sensations in Nanuet, NY, great store, I would recommend it to ANYONE. Great prices, great selection, very very friendly people. Anyway, I went in with the intent of spending about 50 dollars on a glass bong, hoping to get something small but sturdy for that price. I entered and to my amazement, found any piece I could ever imagine for the best prices ever. I spent about an hour browsing, oogling at things I couldn't afford. There was one case that really caught my eye, because of the low prices to be honest. I ended up narrowing my selection to about 3, and then finally selected a 60 dollar glass bong. My bong is about 30 inches tall and is THICK glass, at least 10mm, in fact I think it might be closer to 1 or two centimeters. It's mainly white glass, with an entire rainbow of colors rolled into it. Streaks of color climb from the bottom of the bong, which I might add has a very thick and heavy piece of black glass, made into a 3 point tripod, very very sturdy, to the top of the bong. There is also a part where black streaks encircle the bong near the top in many many lines of color, in different depths of the glass so as to give a deep 3D color effect. It has a LARGE black spiral glass grip that wraps the midsection of the bong. Seriously this piece of glass is at least 1/2 inch thick. They told me it was a hand made bong, but could not give me any more information on it. After comparing it to various bongs online, I have come to the conclusion that it is a "Festival Glass" bong. Festival Glass bongs are hand crafted, and can take up to 60 hours each to create. I love my bong, it is my first glass piece that I personally purchased. My dad gave me a small glass bowl that I use sometimes, but it's not that great, and has a rather large hole in the bowl, large enough to warrant a gauze. I have not yet named my bong as I can't seem to come up with a good name. Maybe I just haven't gotten stoned enough with it to think of one yet ![]() I'll post pics at another time if I can find my digi. Also I forgot to mention, this thing is about 5 pounds heavy, it's a HEAVY bong. |
