I bought my first Roor bong last week. They're very hard to find in Oklahoma and the shop I go to doesn't like doing business with Roor, so I bought his last one. Anyway, I was wondering those of you who have Roors if you have ashcatchers for them,what kind do you use? The guy who runs the shop said people who have Roors use Illadelph ashcatchers not Roor ashcatchers but I'm wondering if he's just trying to get my business and make me believe that. I was wondering if people who own Roors have Roor ashcatchers or Illadelph ashcatchers? To me that would almost sound like putting a ferrari engine in a lamborghini.

I like it matching, so I would put a roor ashcatcher. I dont like ashcatchers really so my roor is without one though.

But Illadelph are just as high of quality...like I said, its jus personal taste.

I vouch, like Dark, that Illadelph is of equal quality to Roor. I would be just as happy with an Illadelph ashcatcher on a Roor bong. No big deal. It will certainly smoke like a dream either way.

I have used, but don't use an ashcatcher. Some people like them. I just find them unnecessary and an added element to have to set up and keep clean.
Insofar as choosing between the two you mention? My tendency would be to go with the one Roor makes given that everything of theirs is first class and all their accessories are made with the central unit in mind...

The beauty behind an ashcatcher is thus; it catches the gunk, ash, and accumulates the resin as to keep your bong clean. All of that shit stays in there, and doesn't get in your bong. They aren't hard to setup, and they are easy to use. Consider it an extension of your bong, it will not only keep your bong CLEAN, but it will save you time in the long run.

Tell me, would you rather clean your bong once a month from all the nastiness it accumulates or clean it once every three to four months and only have to do a quick rinse/clean of a small dirty ash catcher once a week?

Illadephlia is probably of similar quality to RooR, but I have nothing to verify it. A few members here I know have Illadelphia, I haven't smoked out of one but I have smoked out of RooR and didn't find anything special about it (aside from the clean aesthetics).

My Ashcatcher is from Galaxy Glass, It has a removable rubber stopper at the bottom to make it extremely easy and quick to clean. I don't know what I would do without it.

As far as finding an ascatcher or bong of your own, maybe try out one of these places

My issue wasn't anything to do with "setup"; it was with added cost, storage, possible breakage and cleaning.

I totally agree with you insofar as those who use their bong constantly and don't relish taking the time to clean often. In such cases it's an asset to be sure.
That's why I said earlier that "some people like them".
I'm a clean freak when it comes to my glass. I clean my smoking vehicle after every one or two sessions so it ain't no thing for me...

Your right it is extra money to spend, and it is possible to break, but if you treat her well, she will treat you well.

i think what you guys are talking about an ash catcher is really a precooler. it has water in it and it bubbles its a precooler. an ash catcher has no water but filter out the ash and all that other gunk

.... i never knew that, i had an ash catcher, i guess it was a precooler but as far as a precooler goes i would get one, its probably the best thing i ever added onto my bong, easy clean up and the extra filter makes it alot smoother


and im with sterbo on cleaning the glass after every session, except i ran out of denatured alcohol so their getting dirty, its probably been 8 sessions
