Thanks YetiManY3K, you made some valid points to consider,here are my solutions:

1) If by slide you mean the bowl and tube attached to the bowl can lift off it will, I've seen it done in glass waterbongs.Just b4 you are done the hit just lift the bowl up and suck to clear,works pretty much the same as a rush

2)I can see where it may be tough sucking on that sucker, making me think about that will set me back afew days constructing this monster, the solutions are simple though.Fatter hose, and instead of a hollowed pen for mouthpiece I will have to re-think of something with more air thats detachable and solid.

Thanks for the feedback, I thinks its better that I posted the plans for it before building was a good idea, now the bugs seemed to be worked out of the theory , construction will start after I go to the hardware store (for fatter hose),and have abit of spare time. Hopefully I can score a digi-cam for pics when im done.

Seems to me like you're on the right track with that. Instead of the hollowed pen take a trip doen to the hardware store you can get tubing that you can easily put a finger into for less than 50 cents a foot, not to mention just about anything else you could dream of needing to make a bong. When you finish, let us know how it goes.

Oh yeah, and being able to take the bowl off would work just fine.
