Strain History(top)

First called High-Rise, Master Kush was developed in one of the tall buildings of south Amsterdam. The coffeeshops instantly fell in love with this bud.

A vigorous plant, Master Kush thrives under most growing conditions, producing well in indoor and greenhouse set-ups. This variety grows into a medium-sized, compact, densely formed plant with sparse, spiky, forest green leaves. Master Kush's ball-shaped buds are light green with long hairs that range from white to orange in color. Buds are dense, thick, and heavy, which makes mold a risk in humid lcimates. Advantageously non-smelly while growing, the resulting bud has a hint of earthiness and sweet citrus but is virtually without taste.

Easy on lungs and palate, Master Kushis non-expansive and smooth to smoke, giving an all-over body buzz that is relaxing but awake. The high can also create optically pleasing effects, making it a good candidate for taking in a movie or museum visit.

Winner, High Times Cannabis Cup 1992 and 1993.
A F1 cross between two different Hindu-kush strains. Yield is high. Excellent taste and strong high. One of our favourites. ? Dutch Passion seedbank catalog

This light-green colored bud has dark forest-green leaves protruding and is covered in long hairs that range in color from bright orange to almost white (mostly strawberry-blonde). The scent is sweet and citrusy with green bio-y undertones. The taste, however, is surprisingly mild for this fairly strong-scented bud. It almost doesn't even have a taste besides the general burnt bud (brown) taste. It is also non-expansive in the lungs. The high is mildly visual with a light head-change. *** ? Homepage Amsterdam

My personal experience with MasterKush, grown naturally under mostly-controlled conditions, outdoors: a rather long finish time (mid-late October) and can grow very tall, even in a 5 gal. pot. Huge plants when grounded. I live in the desert so mold has never been a prob for me but these buds are unusually thick and long so I would expect mold probs in a more humid climate. (but that's just a guesstimate) The stone is not toooo intense but definitely longer lasting than most and IMHO, well worth the space and time (if you can get by the potential mold prob). Very smooth and mellow flavor too. Not a major aroma producer while growing either. -Mohave Green

The only strain that I have that I can for sure say came from the breeders and not a reseller is MasterKush from Dutch Passion and the seeds were given to me by a friend who purchased them in a-dam. He gave me 5, all were female (lucky eh?) and all grew very uniformly, I kept the best 2 and have had them now for about 6 months and every clone set has gotten stronger in potency as now the plant is mature...the plant matches all pictures of Master kush cannabis seeds I've been able to locate on the web.... the high unfortunately is way to o physical for me as it will knock me d own if I take 2 hits, like I tried to go a couple rounds with Mike Tyson.... I much rather prefer the high of a sativa dominant or a 50/50 hybrid...I know, I guess I?m just a wooose but I at least like to be able to walk and talk when I?m buzzed.

It turns o ut that the Master kush cannabis seeds from Aloha is a very potent strain. It knocks me out b ut maybe my body chemistry is different from yours! It grows real well and the floral clusters have a delightful aroma to them; like a grape flavour, maybe. Of the ten seeds I grew out, there was a lot of variability in the growing characteristics of the plants. Several were very sativa-dominant. The one I kept as a mother is short-statured and a heavy producer of many small, hard buds. I still cultivate it because I love the hashy smell it releases but as I said, it's effect upon me is mostly a narcotic one in nature. ? Moose

These are vigorous, strong-rooted, and hardy plants developed in Amsterdam to grow indoors in apartments. They are a cross of Hindu Kush and Skunk. They are of medium height, tightly formed with spiked leaves and ball-shaped buds. The Master Kush plant grows well in just about any environment that is at least temperate, making this a popular plant world-wide. The buds form tightly in dense balls, but have little smell while growing.
The smoke is thick and juicy with a nice aroma that hints at citrus. The buzz is short and simple and most say relaxing, with low THC levels overall. The Master Kush strain is most often prescribed for nausea and occasionally for light migraines.
Nirvana Seeds Master Kush seeds from the Nirvana is a cross breed of two different Hindu Kush strains. Her main characteristics are easy growing, high yields of big buds with strong long lasting high. This marijuana variety represents an indica/sativa family and possesses the best qualities of the both strains which made her a winner of 2005 and 2006 Cannabis Cup.
Growing Master Kush cannabis seeds are very easy. They are not suitable for outdoor growing, unless you live in a very warm country with a stable climate, but show excellent performance when cultivated indoors and respond well to any growing methods. Their strong genotype helps them resist mild stress as well as mould and mushroom. We would definitely recommend this cannabis for beginners.

Indica dominant, cannabis seeds of Master Kush marijuana produce middle sized plants which grow a bit bushy developing a typical x-mas tree shape. They show very little stretch, ending up at about 16 inches. It takes 8 weeks of flowering to see the first buds. This variety is not pungent; smell is not a problem, even if you don’t have a proper ventilation system. Master Kush cannabis is very eye appealing; her buds are heavily frosted with trichomes; multiple colas (some LST done early in vegetation) with a large number of big buds and many smaller jawbreaker sized popcorn buds.
Most weight was packed on at around 40-50 days. This baby is really a good yielder, she produces up to 500 gr. of quality marijuana per m2. The final product is said to contain from 15% to 20% of THC which hits you quite quickly, with a tingling in the lips, warmth through the body and a very mellow, happy state of mind. No desire to get up and do anything; however, it doesn't turn you into a complete log. Good for sitting with a guitar and getting lost in the music. Relaxing, and may be good for those who can't sleep.
