Obama's Half Baked Re-Election Strategy

Things get strange around election time, particularly as you make it through the summer months, and get closer to November. And the 2012, election season of lies – looks to be no different. As Romney slowly gains ground in the much revered Bible belt, Obama’s team looks for new electorates to pander to.

While Obama once enjoyed the peace of mind, of a double-digit lead, he now finds himself slipping fast down a marijuana laced slope of disapproval. As the disillusioned, 21 and under vote has felt betrayed, and lied to again, by yet another president. Mr. Obama has come out with both barrels blazing. Obama seems hell bent on redefining himself, creating a new narrative around his choices, as he tries to appeal to the alt lifestyle vote. As he demonstrated a few days ago, Mr. President is not below pandering to the once rejected gay community – as he did during the last election cycle. And similar to that last election, when he had made certain promises to the medical marijuana community, and then reneged; we find ourselves asking the same question… can we trust this guy?

The protracted wars throughout the Middle East still fires up ugly imagery, in the average American’s mind. The US economy seems to be teetering on the edge…wanting to slip off into the abyss and down the rabbit hole of a great recession. So Obama’s re-election dream team has decided that appealing to the youth based, alt lifestyle demographic, might be just be what the MMJ Dr. ordered. In order to accomplish this herculean task, as the presidents dark circus makes its way around the county, his pander-fest has kicked into high gear. Once again demonstrating that he will do whatever it takes to get re-elected, as his many stunned supporters discovered, when he came out in favor of gay, same-sex marriages.

As an additional eight states consider the marijuana legalization issue, in addition to the 17 states + D.C. that already allow for medical marijuana, President Obama is feeling a little out of touch and vulnerable. When mixed together with the recent enlightened reports coming out for the Center for Disease Control; stating that in the last few years more high school age kids have turned to consuming weed, and put down the toxic death sticks (tobacco), sold by corporate America. We can clearly see the national barometer on the marijuana issue shifting.

Even in the great state of Michigan, where the Mormon mummy – Mitt Romney was once governor, we see the general populace turning to the idea of legalizing marijuana. Each and every one of these MMJ states; those that are currently medical marijuana states, and those that would like to become medical marijuana states — are tired of throwing good money after bad. While the federal government insists that ruining young peoples lives based on lies, and allowing big Pharma to make billions of dollars off America’s real addiction, is a stable logic going forward. Obama squirms and slithers towards the finish line in Nov. Begging, bloodied, and desperate for votes, particularly in the battleground states like Colorado, Ohio, and Michigan Obama’s crack team is looking for a cure. Each one of these states have already demonstrated their pro-marijuana bend… and this my friends is making the Obama team a little nervous based on his recent past action against MMJ collectives country wide.

As the wiser (and sometimes younger) demographic has already demonstrated, time and time again. Marijuana should be preferred – over tobacco, over alcohol and over prescription drugs. And if Pres. Obama is truly interested in getting a swing at a second term. One might give the logical suggestion that this country — by a majority of the populace — will not only embrace marijuana, but will settle for nothing less than the outright legalization of recreational marijuana use.
