It’s little wonder that the poor bastards from this generation have absolutely lost all sense of humor. No smiles in the tiny little town Arroyo Grande CA…common sense went missing yesterday. Some things are not funny to the hopeless, especially when the laws they vote for are ignored, the medicine they need is denied them, and the legal taxpaying businesses they want are run out of town.
As if they don’t have better things to worry about, the city Council for the tiny little central coast town of Arroyo Grande has begun the process to modifying an existing ordinance, which bans brick and mortar medical marijuana collectives within the city of Arroyo Grande. The amendment to the existing ban would allow the city Council to also prohibit medical marijuana delivery services from operating within the city limits.[nggallery id=614]
A San Luis Obispo County Grand Jury noted the lack of consistency between the State, County, and Cities medical marijuana laws and how they have created a gray area within the mmj community. In the grand jury report released just this summer entitled “out of sight, out of mind, medical marijuana in San Luis Obispo County”, the grand jury came to the realization that because Arroyo Grande had a ban on all brick-and-mortar marijuana collectives, there has been a new growth of marijuana delivery services working in their County from out of the area.
As the city councils ill-conceived decision to ban all medical marijuana delivery businesses in the city of Arroyo Grande moves forward, they have cultivated anger amongst some and pleased only the lunatic fringe. With Arroyo Grande’s move to ban delivery services still in limbo, the neighboring beach community of ‘Grover Beach’ is now thinking of jumping on the anti- pot bandwagon and banning delivery services as well.[nggallery id=615]
If you happen to live in a tiny little backwater community of Arroyo Grande California, and are a medical marijuana patient… I suggest you stand up and make your voice heard. The Arroyo Grande City Council is expected to ‘beat’ this issue some more…amending its medical marijuana ordinance, and then banning all delivery services at its meeting next week.
