Jack Herer: Marijuana Strain Photos & Review

Named after the legendary hemp and cannabis activist Jack Herer, this Sativa is as well-known and renowned as they come, having won countless Cannabis Cups. While kept a “secret” the recipe for Jack Herer is commonly known as a cross between Northern Lights and  the offspring of Shiva Skunk and Haze. Its lore, coupled with its quality, have long cemented Jack Herer as one of the most popular and prevalent strains on this planet.

Frequently deemed “Frosty the Snowman” for its frosted, trichome nature, Jack Herer closely resembles its Northern Lights ancestor. Thus, unlike your berry Sativas, its often more white than orange, and packs a hazy, lush smell opposed to a fruity burst. As you can see, it’s a dynamite strain that, as is always the case, can vary based on its grow conditions.

Unlike many Sativas, Jack gives you a nice boost without the anxiety or paranoia sometimes found in them–which is why it’s so prolific. On the shelf at nearly every Medical Marijuana Dispensary in America and grown from Amsterdam to Spain, Jack Herer remains an integral strain for both medical patients and recreational users. And one that will ensure the legend of Jack–and all he’s done for the marijuana movement–never dies.
