Wax On, Wax Off – Top Five Marijuana Concentrates For Summer 2013

With 7.10.2013 just two short days away– this seemed like the perfect opportunity to take a quick peek at some of the more popular marijuana concentrates turning up at dispensaries around the country. With the first ever non-medical cannabis cup being held in Denver Colorado on 4.20.2013, and the San Francisco medical cup being held just a few weeks ago, there were a handful of new entrants along with some of the old favorites to consider.

For the uninitiated – marijuana concentrates are fast becoming the go to medicine for patients seeking a concentrated dosage of THC or CBD cannabinoids. Two of marijuana’s compounds known to be beneficial in relieving HIV wasting syndrome, Crohn’s disease, vomiting and nausea brought on by chemotherapy, as well as a multitude of other applications.

While both the Paris and Hard-Core OG strains of marijuana concentrates have been alleviating patient’s pain for the last few years, both the Gucci Earwax and Chem Tange are relatively new to the collective’s shelves. Generally costing between $40 – $60 a gram, most concentrates test between 60 to 80% THC while the cannabidiol (CBD) cannabinoid value is also double. Great news for patients! More medicinal value per toke… minus the necessity of burning any plant product.

About Author

Born in Long Beach, raised on the central coast: I surf, dab, burn, and blog – though not necessarily in that order. I'm a husband, a father and a lifelong consumer of connoisseur grade weed. I don't drink alcohol or consume any other "drugs." I consider myself to be living proof that weed is not a gateway drug. If it were, I'd be in some serious trouble. Instead, as a 50-year-old ex-realtor that has been smoking weed for nearly 80% of my life (just did the math) ... I can only say, marijuana is safer than prescription pills or alcohol could ever hope to be for calming what stirs the savage beast.
