The 2014 High Times Cannabis Cup Fires Up This Weekend

Last year after the LA Medical Cannabis Cup was booted from its venue in the city of Angels, organizers of the HTMCC rushed to sign contracts with nearby Glendale Studios, only to learn that LAPD had already notified the city of Glendale as to the chronic nature of the pot-loving event. A fast and furious injunction by the city of Glendale was then filed against the good people at High Times, as a means of preventing the event from firing up there… forcing the organizers to search for more fertile grounds – like San Bernardino California.

This year, join the fun as thousands of attendees stroll a veritable pot-village, waste deep in some of Southern California’s best canna-products; buds, concentrates, and edibles – not to mention some of the biggest and best glassmakers from the Golden State.

The 2014, San Bernardino, High Times Medical Cannabis Cup will be held at the NOS event center and will be a two day tradeshow/Expo which incorporates vendor booths from all spectrums of the marijuana world. While some booths will specialize in glassware; featuring oil rigs, bongs, bubblers and an assortment of other stoner paraphernalia – others will offer the newest in grow gear – offering state-of-the-art cultivation equipment.

Offering booths both inside and out, the inside area will feature three seminars a day. Currently, the seminar topics include legalization and regulation – current political issues – cultivation seminars – and last but not least, a cooking class taught by Elise McDonough, author of the official high times cannabis cookbook. Outside a fenced off area with privacy screening will be erected for the general public to medicate freely. Allowing California residents with a valid medical marijuana cards and a picture ID to openly smoke their medical marijuana.

For the 2014 High Times Cannabis Cup, Saturday night’s entertainment will fire up at 8 PM featuring B.o.B. and Young Dro… the Jack Herer legalization party, sponsored by Tahoe wellness and hosted by B-Real of Cypress Hill fame will end at 11: 00 pm.

About Author

Born in Long Beach, raised on the central coast: I surf, dab, burn, and blog – though not necessarily in that order. I'm a husband, a father and a lifelong consumer of connoisseur grade weed. I don't drink alcohol or consume any other "drugs." I consider myself to be living proof that weed is not a gateway drug. If it were, I'd be in some serious trouble. Instead, as a 50-year-old ex-realtor that has been smoking weed for nearly 80% of my life (just did the math) ... I can only say, marijuana is safer than prescription pills or alcohol could ever hope to be for calming what stirs the savage beast.
