Go All in This 420, Las Vegas Style

As the legions of cannabis enthusiasts enjoy our high holiday of 420 in any of the eight states that have officially legalized adult-use marijuana, the rest of the country is either hiding their celebration in a secluded spot or headed to Las Vegas where medical marijuana reciprocity rules the land.

If you happen to have taken the Sin City route this year, you’d be wise to visit the following spots:

(Caveat: While anyone hoping to shop for their favorite strain will still need their medical marijuana card (it’s a bummer, we know), in just a few short months it will be time for everyone over the age of 21 to celebrate in Nevada.)

Handing out sweet freebies with qualifying purchases, Apothecranium is also offering a smoking hot buy one get one (BOGO) deals on State Flower Cannabis Superglue and Blackjack for purchases over an eight. Sweetening the pot further, Apothecranium is offering a BOGO special on both KIVA bars and Valhalla gummies.

Just before the strike of 4:20 p.m., Apothecary will fire up their 420 event. Planned to roll all night long, the MMJ dispensary will have some intriguing specials on several of their high-end strains. Weed often delivers the munchies, so Apothecary will have a food truck on-site while a DJ energizes the crowd. True to its “Sin City” moniker, Apothecary will be releasing their new Top Hat Chocolates line, creating a scantily clad collaboration between a Strip culinary talent and some tasty high-octane edibles.

Meanwhile, over at Euphoria Wellness, bud tenders will be offering special deals for as little as $4.20 throughout the entire day. The dispensary is also offering some smoking hot deals on select edibles and Cannavative items. For those who would like to test their luck and embrace their inner gambler, customers can spin a prize wheel to potentially win various items.

A 420 special, Thrive will be offering ounces of Lemon Skunk or Sour Banana Sherbet for just $99. Cultivated by Green and Gold Supply Company, eight special jars of the sub-$100-Oz will contain eight golden eggs printed on the inside of the jar’s lid. Like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the recipients of the eight golden eggs will be invited to an exclusive tour of Green and Gold’s cultivation facility.

F.Y.I. – Currently, the general public is not allowed to purchase recreational marijuana from the existing medical marijuana dispensaries. Additionally, smokers can only consume their stash at a private residence. “Parks, campgrounds and national forests” are also strictly “off-limits.” In addition to banning smoking in all public places, marijuana consumption will not be allowed in bars, casinos/hotels, nor the dispensary selling medical marijuana.

About Author

Born in Long Beach, raised on the central coast: I surf, dab, burn, and blog – though not necessarily in that order. I'm a husband, a father and a lifelong consumer of connoisseur grade weed. I don't drink alcohol or consume any other "drugs." I consider myself to be living proof that weed is not a gateway drug. If it were, I'd be in some serious trouble. Instead, as a 50-year-old ex-realtor that has been smoking weed for nearly 80% of my life (just did the math) ... I can only say, marijuana is safer than prescription pills or alcohol could ever hope to be for calming what stirs the savage beast.
