Strain Profile

The Science: While she doesn’t test sky-high in THC content, the complex terpene profile intertwined in these beautiful buds will have you singing toward the high heavens. Averaging around 19-24% THC with subtle hints of CBD, CBG, and CBN, Sherbert packs a seriously unexpected punch for those who may scoff at it not being in the “30% Club.” Sherbert’s intoxicating terpene cocktail of B-caryophyllene, limonene, and humulene elevate the high to an incredibly pain-relieving, healing, and spiritual level.

Appearance: Sherbert’s signature buds are perfectly refined, dense, and just dripping in trichomes. The harmony of her deep purple buds, hints of vibrant magenta; the swirling orange hairs make these flowers eye candy that is impossible to ignore. Upon cracking open the buds, electrifying pink calyxes stand out amongst a sea of trichomes. Without a doubt, these are some of the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever feasted my eyes upon.

Consistency: Even though the effect of Sherb gravitates slightly more toward a Sativa, the density of the buds is Indica-dominant all the way. Thick and dense, you might need to be armed with a hammer to crack open this treasure.

Scent: Fresh fruit rinds and a doughy aroma flood the senses upon first inhale, irresistible to the point that you may consider popping a nug in your mouth. Subtle earthy yet spicy notes of black pepper and savory hints of sage follow, tingling your nostrils in anticipation for the flavorful first toke. The unique scent and terpene profile make this strain stand out amongst the crowd, particularly for breeders and growers chasing the newest flavors.

Taste: The first inhale is like taking a sip of a rich, decadent smoothie. Tropical, luscious, and berry on the inhale, with craveable fresh-baked cookie terps on the exhale. The balance of sweetness and earthiness is near perfection. Hit after hit gets more delectable than the last as the complex flavor profile builds on your palette.

Effect: Instantly relaxing and long-lasting, the high achieved from Sunset Sherbert is incomparable — which is one of the reasons it has won the hearts of a whole spectrum of 420-friendly celebrities from John Mayer to Wiz Khalifa. Unlike its mother, Cookie, which can produce an overpowering head high, Sherbert provides a stimulating, creative, and focused high that is wildly enjoyable.

Strain Background: The heir to Girl Scout Cookies, Sunset Sherbert was Cookiefam’s second release after the popularity of their Cookies strain skyrocketed. Combining two powerhouse parents, Sherbert enhances the original Girl Scout Cookies flavor profile with Sherbinski’s Pink Panties cut — adding a creaminess to the intensity of the Cookie flavor. In Sherbinski’s recent interview with Cannabis Now Magazine, he tells the origin story of the Sherbert. Sherbinski threw a Pink Panties ((Burmese Thai x Kush Berry) x (OG Kush)) plant into Jigga’s room of Girl Scout Cookies, when they came back from a weekend trip, “All I saw was powder on the plant,” Sherbinski said. “I figured out what happened: the whole room got pollinated. That was a Pink Panties male, it wasn’t a selection from a propagation project or anything, just one we had busted open. That accident pollination ended up being the Sherbert.” In other words, Sherbinski jokingly confirmed, “Yeah, that was not a planned parenthood.” The terpene profile inspired the name Sherbert, and being from “the Sunset,” it became “Sunset Sherbert,” an ode to all the cannabis pioneers in the San Francisco area.

Medical Uses: Sherbert washes away stress like a cool splash of water on a hot summer day. With a relaxing, tension-melting body high and a creative, energizing head high, this rare treat is the best of both worlds. The sedative effects can be beneficial for those suffering from insomnia and restless leg syndrome. The uplifting euphoria felt when smoking Sherbert can also be helpful for those diagnosed with depression.

Breeder Quote: “Sunset Sherbert has been proven to be a great medicine for patients that suffer from P.T.S.D. Sherbert gives people a sense of well-being, and is a great daytime smoke that won’t drag you down.” – Sherbinski

Pros: Quick and vigorous rooting in clone stage. Hardy branching, mid-high yielding, and desirable potency make this a beautiful finished flower or great extraction material.
