Will Game 3 of the NBA Finals Require More Marijuana for the Cavs?

The odds say, yes.

After the Golden State Warriors smoked the Cleveland Cavaliers last Sunday, at least two reporters confirmed the Cavs locker room reeked of some pungent California chronic.

As the Cavs head into Game 3 of the NBA finals tonight in Cleveland, one can only hope they’ve stocked up on their valuable supplies.

First noticed and Tweeted about by Mark Wise of The Undefeated, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst later confirmed the report: “Yes indeed, there was the smell of weed in the air.”

Wise later clarified his initial Twitter post.

Defeated by the Golden State Warriors last Sunday in Game 2 – losing 132-113 – the Cavs will have home-court advantage tonight. While Lebron James and his Cleveland teammates have demonstrated their ability to win in high-stakes situations – the smart money is betting they may need some additional therapy after tonight’s NBA Game 3 Final.

Born in Long Beach, raised on the central coast: I surf, dab, burn, and blog – though not necessarily in that order. I'm a husband, a father and a lifelong consumer of connoisseur grade weed. I don't drink alcohol or consume any other "drugs." I consider myself to be living proof that weed is not a gateway drug. If it were, I'd be in some serious trouble. Instead, as a 50-year-old ex-realtor that has been smoking weed for nearly 80% of my life (just did the math) ... I can only say, marijuana is safer than prescription pills or alcohol could ever hope to be for calming what stirs the savage beast.

  1. I hate the Cams Go Dubs, but I have new respect for them now that I hear they’re toking up after the game! They’ll be hitting that Chronic tonight after Game 4 when they get smoked by the Dubs!
