Famous OG does just what you’d expect your favorite Indica to do in stressful moments: relax your muscles, soothe the mind, and numb your pain. Loaded with trichome-encrusted calyces and neon orange pistils, this strain proves to be an effective therapeutic. Fresh, cured, and still a bit sticky, today’s variant was cultivated by Famous Genetics. Dissected for rolling as my after-lunch smoke, the Famous OG nugs crop-dusted my office with two distinct aromas – the fresh scent of sweet pine and a seriously pissed-off skunk. Powerful and persuasive.

Lights, camera, action! Famous OG is the right cultivar when you want to give your sesh the red-carpet treatment. These fluffy nuggets have an unbelievable structure and are entirely powdered with trichomes. The master growers of Famous Genetics cultivated intensely fragrant flowers – it’s an understatement to say Famous OG smells incredible. The moment the bag was opened, a waft of dankness settled into the room. The aroma alone gave me a lot to anticipate:  Would the flavor profile hold up? I smoked Famous OG in a joint and immediately tasted deep earthy notes with subtle pine. Each toke was velvety smooth and left my body in a deep, deep state of relaxation.

Famous OG is so skunky, you’d think Pepé Le Pew took a nap in this bed of buds. The burnt green flowers are dusted with sugary trichomes, while the bright orange pistils carry tiny translucent trichomes. The alarming skunk smell fades into a smooth and mild Skywalker flavor. I tasted subtle hints of citrus-floral flavors with a pine-filled kick that gives the strain its OG surname. Famous OG tingles on the tongue and leaves behind the blend of sandalwood, Bergamot and roses. After smoking Famous OG, I was up and ready to run … to get coffee. This strain has a strong Indica presence and makes my body feel fully canna-tose.

Famous OG is a super fragrant bud that made my entire apartment smell like a skunk had just walked in and made herself at home. Besides the skunk-forward aroma, this bud also has a  subtle woodsy flavor of a tree. I imagine a taste that reminds you of camping. After sharing a joint with friends, I surprisingly found myself in work mode, coming up with ideas, and recalling the unfinished and forgotten. Thanks, Famous OG!

What do you think of these high THC, low CBD vape tanks? The high seems so different; I postulate that THC affects the dopamine system. One month of vaping pure ( almost ) THC seems to have made up for 10 years of therapy for my social anxiety disorder, and I completely weaned myself off my depression medicine. And stopped drinking. It fills my brain that no other habit is needed. And it derails my fear around others. Not to mention the discreetness.

    • I have read by a reliable source that a low THC/high CBD RATIO is the best if you are using it medicinally. You don’t get high but get the massive anti inflammatory effect, so you can live your life and do what you have to do. Any recommendations on strains? Thanks
